One thing I love about living close to the shore is that there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. However, having all of these choices so readily available can also be pretty overwhelming at times too. Just the other day I was trying to figure out where I wanted to eat and went through the monstrous list of restaurants around me, and I just couldn’t decide. In times like these, I tend to go to one of my trusty restaurants that never lets me down when I’m in search for something delicious…Off to Cross and Orange I went!

Located right in the center of Asbury Park, Cross and Orange is the ideal spot for any meal. Whether you’re stopping in for brunch before hitting the beach, or grabbing some cocktails with friends before an evening show, they’ve got everything you could possibly want or need!

Product: I can always count on Cross and Orange for a delicious, flavor-filled meal. Although it’s a little on the pricey side, the quality of their food and drinks makes it completely worth it. For dinner, I tend to switch off between the Steak Burger and Kula Farm Salad. For brunch, I recently discovered how amazing their Chicken and Waffles are…and the Pastry Basket is a complete game changer! Their list of cocktails speaks for itself- there is a ton of variety and they definitely don’t skimp out on the alcohol. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menus!

Ambiance: Cross and Orange has a beautiful open floor plan with large windows that allow you to see the hustle and bustle of Asbury Park. There is a large bar with high-top seating as well as a typical dining room. I have seen people come in with jeans and a t-shirt, and also people who have been dressed more on the smart-casual side as well. The restaurant’s versatile atmosphere makes it great for a casual dinner with friends, birthday/anniversary celebrations, and even bridal/baby showers. They do it all!

Customer Service: One thing that I love about this place is that I never have to wait to be seated (except on holidays, of course)! This would typically be worrisome to me…I mean you want to know that people are waiting around for good food, right? However, Cross and Orange seems to be the exception to that rule. All of the servers are quick and efficient. They make sure that they get your order right, and are very attentive throughout your meal. I have never had an issue getting anything extra I have needed, but simultaneously they don’t check on you every 5 minutes to see that you’re okay. It’s the perfect balance to ensure that you have a great meal!
