As I’ve said before, I absolutely LOVE brunch. But, I got tired of eating at the same 3 or 4 breakfast places over and over and over. When I went to Google for guidance, the same 3 or 4 places kept popping up! Cue eye roll…After going into the depths of Google (like 3 pages in), I came across Taylor Sam’s. Once I went there, it easily became one of my favorite brunch spots!

Taylor Sam’s is a farmhouse-looking restaurant hidden along the back roads of Brick Township. Although this location was quite out of my way, the quality of food is well worth the drive! And, I even recently found out that they will be opening another location in Red Bank- I can’t wait!

Product: Taylor Sam’s has all of the classic brunch dishes that you could want, with their own special twist. I am quite the Chicken and Waffles critic so I was a little skeptical when I first ordered it, but now I go here any time I’m craving it! Their spicy maple sauce really makes it stand out from others I’ve had. I also recently tried their Taylor Yams (sweet potato fries) and it was amazing! They have large portions at a reasonable price. Their coffee menu also has many different latte options and even has a coffee of the day. I love that any time I go there, there’s a possibility of trying something new.

Ambiance: Every time I walk into this restaurant, I can’t help but smile. The place is always decorated according to the seasons/holidays and is very festive. Overall, it’s a laid back, informal atmosphere that almost feels diner-esque. They even have picnic tables if you’d like to sit outside during warmer weather. It’s perfect for those lazy Saturdays where you don’t really feel like getting dressed up to get your brunch on! Side note-the parking lot is super small and right next to the picnic tables…kind of a bummer.

Customer Service: I always have a great experience when I go here. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated, and the waiters are very attentive. My only complaint is that when ordering a latte style drink, it takes quite a bit of time to get it. On the other hand, it is always piping hot when it finally comes to the table, so I can’t complain too much about it!
